Aldbourne Carnival 2010 - Programme of Events

The dates and times for this year’s carnival have been finalised. They are as follows:

Thursday 26th August 2010, from 8:00pm
Carnival Darts Competition at the Aldbourne Sports & Social Club
Saturday 28th August 2010, from 7:30pm till midnight
Carnival Crowning at The Old Manor House (by kind permission of Mr John Jarvis)
Sunday 29th August 2010, from 2:00pm
Carnival on Sunday comprises:
Treasure Hunt starting in the Square at 2.00pm
Classic Vehicles and Bikes on the Green & Cream Teas from 4.00pm
Donald Barnes Challenge Cup on the Green from 6.00pm
Tuesday 31st August 2010, from 7:30pm till 10:00pm
Carnival Whist Drive in The Old School Room
Wednesday 1st September 2010, from 7:00pm
Carnival Quiz and Supper Night at The Memorial Hall
Thursday 2nd September 2010, from 8:00pm
Carnival Family Bingo at the Aldbourne Sports & Social Club
Friday 3rd September 2010, from 7:30pm
Carnival Murder Mystery Evening with ALEC (by kind permission of Mr & Mrs Anthony Evans)
Saturday 4th September 2010, from 3:30pm
Carnival Parade Day
The assembly of carnival floats begins in Woodley’s Meadow at 3.30pm.
Judging starts at 4.30pm, with the procession beginning around 6.00pm.
Sunday 5th September 2010, from 6:00pm till 9:00pm
Church Service, Pond Concert and Flag Lowering
Service in St. Michael’s Church at 6.00pm, followed by the Band Concert and ending with the Flag Lowering
