ALEC Annual Barbecue

ALEC will be holding their summer barbecue on the above date and time (following this postponement), please see the following note from Richard Lester for details:
A quick note out to all you fine ALEC people, to welcome you and your families to the ALEC summer barbecue which is being held on Saturday 11th August, firing up the charcoal at 6pm.
This year we are giving Debbie’s garden a well earned recuperative rest, with Peter and Rona Lawler kindly allowing their tranquil green sanctuary at Goddard’s Lane to be invaded by a bunch of exhibitionist reprobates for the evening. Do please try not to do unspeakable things in their pond or cause Peter to fear for his sheds.
This location also affords the assembled masses the splendid opportunity of partaking in a friendly game of rounders in the playing field by the scout hut for those feeling suitably energetic/daft/drunk as gentle warming summer sunshine begins to elongate the shadows on a balmy lazy day. Yes, of course it will be sunny. No-one will be forced to play, either, but we’ll have a game for as many of those who do.
The usual form applies: bring your own meat and booze – salads and puds to be supplied by members of the committee. Mine will have a reasonable chance of being vaguely edible.
