The Aldbourne 10k Road Race Returns!

  • Sunday 12th September 2010 from 11:00am till 4:00pm

The Aldbourne 10k Road Race is back after a four-year break and will be held this year at the above times. This year the race is titled: “The United World Colleges Aldbourne 10k”. For more information about United World Colleges click here.

The course is certified for accuracy by and run under a permit from United Kingdom Atheletics and is classed as Grade 2 course. This is a major event in the local athletics calendar. The course is scenic and challenging with several steep inclines and is open to runners of all abilities. The route takes competitors through the rural Wiltshire countryside in and around the picturesque village of Aldbourne.

Entries are open to individuals and teams with prizes awarded in each category. This year’s event takes place four weeks before the Swindon half-marathon (Sunday 10th October 2010 – http://www.swindonhalfmarathon.co.uk) and is an ideal warm-up for competitors planning to take part in that event. You can enter online via the Runner’s World website.
