Rural Arts “Love on the Tracks”

The Rural Arts production “Love on the Tracks”, originally at the Watermill Theatre, is coming to the Memorial Hall on the above date – in association with Big Olive Productions, by Richard Attlee, directed by Michael Woodwood.

Times estimated at this stage, more information to follow when we have it, plus details about ticket prices and availability.

Inspired by the short stories of Anton Chekhov. On a summer’s evening in 1890, a train pulls out of Moscow station. On board sit three fretful passengers, each with an extraordinary tale to tell. As their stories are played out in a series of delightful comic vignettes, the drama in the carriage tantalisingly unfolds. Love on the Tracks is a romantic comedy inspired by the early stories and farces of Anton Chekhov. Full of light-hearted humour and wonderfully eccentric characters, Love on the Tracks presents a 19th century world of dysfunctional marriage, traumatic romance and rampant infidelity – in a very modern way!

Writer Richard Attlee, who also performs in Love on the Tracks, is best known for his role as Kenton Archer in the BBC Radio 4 series The Archers. He appeared at The Watermill in Moonlight & Magnolias.

Watermill Outreach touring is supported by The Dr. Mortimer and Theresa Sackler Foundation.
