Power tool thieves active

Local police have warned that thieves are active in the area after a burglary of a commercial premises was reported last night (Thursday 7th March) in Marlborough.

PC David Tippetts, from NPT Marlborough Rural West, writes:

“The offence happened at approximately 23:50hrs, a dark coloured short wheel based Jeep Cherokee was seen by an eye witness to leave the scene at speed on the A4 towards Hungerford with 3 occupants. A vehicle matching that description was also captured on CCTV at the premises. However shortly afterwards a similar vehicle was seen to drive in the opposite direction towards the town centre.”

“Also just a reminder to check security on outbuildings, sheds and garages as power tools will be in high demand at this time of the year as we are approaching spring. As always please report any suspicious activity or crime through 101 or in an emergency or a crime in progress always 999.”
