Tankering and pumping

Thames Water have informed us that the tankering carried out over the last week or so was a necessary precaution as the sewers were very close to surcharging, but not such a great threat as to activate the emergency over-pumping station. As ground water levels continue to drop the likelihood is that the emergency station will be dismantled in the next couple of weeks, but will remain on stand-by in the meantime in case of extreme rainfall.

Thames Water sent a letter to some residents. A copy is available for download below.
