Vandals set glass booby-traps at school

Children at St. Michael’s school returned from their half term holidays this week. Staff were appalled to find broken glass placed all over the play fort up on the school playing field. Bottles had been broken and the glass set out very deliberately in a way to injure any children climbing on to the fort.

There have been several incidents over the summer of unknown individuals trespassing on the field and leaving empty bottles and other litter. This recent incident is the first where a clear and premeditated attempt has been made to harm pupils at the school.

The incident has been reported to the police and also to the Parish Council. If anyone has any information about who may have been responsible please contact us via email at .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) or use the Contact Us page, or contact Wiltshire Police on 101.

Steps are now being taken to ensure anyone who trespasses on school property is identified and aprehended.
