Christian Aid Relieves Poverty
Please see the following message from Krystyna Hagerty:
A very healthy £1,630 was raised in Aldbourne to relieve poverty in Sierra Leone through the work of Christian Aid.
As in previous years, collectors delivered envelopes at the beginning of the week, and later collected the donations. This is always a time-consuming task, and sometimes a thankless one too, but collectors gave up their precious time and knocked on doors for this worthwhile cause.
Aldbourne residents have a long history of supporting numerous good causes and I would like to thank everyone for their very generous donations and particularly the collectors from both our Churches, who do this in the knowledge that the money will provide for those who are less fortunate than themselves.
Very many thanks,
Bless you
Krystyna Hagerty
