"My Favourite Places" Photo Competition

Can you capture the spectacular beauty of the North Wessex Downs?

From Wiltshire’s historic white horses to the serene Kennet & Avon Canal; from the soaring Berkshire and Oxfordshire Downs to the wild and wonderful Watership Down in North Hampshire – it thoroughly deserves its designation as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Help celebrate 40 years of the AONB by entering the North Wessex Downs AONB photo competition. We want you to think about your favourite places within the 670 square miles that make up the AONB. Then go and grab some images to show what makes it special.

We have over £1,700 worth of photographic equipment on offer (kindly sponsored by Panasonic and T4 Cameras) for the best shots taken during the summer of 2012 or in recent years.

Shots we are seeking:

  • Your favourite places
  • Wildlife habitats – from downland to river valley
  • Shots that demonstrate the working landscape

How to enter:
All entries should be in the form of digital .jpg images no larger than 1Mb in size. You can either:
