Welcome to the Parish Council’s pages on the Aldbourne Net. This page contains information about members of the Parish Council – the Councillors and the Parish Clerk.
The Parish Council is made up of 15 people from across the village and they are there to represent and serve the whole community. The current Chair is Peter Lawler, and Vice Chair is Alison Edmonds. A list of all the current councillors is available to download via the link below.
Councillors are voted to their position every 4 years with the next election being in May 2017. Councillors can also be co-opted onto the Council where a vacancy occurs between elections.

Every Parish Council has a clerk and they provide administrative support to the Council and are responsible for ensuring that the instructions of the Council are carried out in a timely and legal manner.
As the Responsible Financial Officer they also ensure that the Council’s finances are administered correctly, a role which includes the preparation of monthly and yearly statements of accounts.
