Privacy Policy

New GDPR legislation

As you may know the new General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) comes into effect on 25th May 2018.

Currently the Aldbourne Net website is not active, though the forum is still open. If you registered for the forum then we hold your name and email address only. This information is secure and is not accessible to anyone outside the website group. The only reason we would contact you via email is if you or ourselves had an issue with your use of the website and/or forum.

We plan to relaunch the village website at some point in the future. It seems likely that we would use social media log-ins as opposed to in-house membership. If this is the option we choose then all previous membership information will be securely archived. If we re-build an in-house membership then we would email you once and once only to inform you that the new website had launched.

Due to our slightly unusual circumstances we have been advised that you do not need to re-opt in. However, if you would prefer to remove your contact details from our database then do contact us via email at .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) or use the Contact Us page with your name, user name and email address, and we will remove the latter from our records immediately.
